DAVID BEGNAUD REPORTS ON TAA YOUTH AMBASSADOR’S LIFE CHANGING DBS TREATMENT

David Begnaud, CBS News lead national correspondent and TS advocate reports on the remarkable story of TAA Youth Ambassador Callum DeQuevedo, a 17-year-old living with an extreme case of TS. CBS News cameras were the first to ever film a TS patient undergoing a type of brain surgery, called Deep Brain Stimulation, aimed at relieving DeQuevedo’s tics and improving his quality of life.

As the convenor of the International Deep Brain Stimulation Study group and long-time funder of the DBS Registry, the TAA is committed to advancing research and advocacy.

Share Callum’s story to remind people of the real impact TS has on those living with it as well as the important work being done to elevate, identify and disseminate information about TS and tic disorders.
