Haley Carlton graduated from the University of Montevallo with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Graduating Magna Cum Laude, she focused her senior seminar on the history of stigma in Tourette Syndrome.
During her time in college Haley was part of the Inaugural Rising Leaders Program in 2019. Using her social media platforms she spread awareness and advocated online, including launching a mini IGTV series called #TicTalkTuesday and appeared as a guest on Tourette’s Podcast.
Haley then went on to intern for the Rising Leaders Program and participated in events such as the 2021 Teen Summit and 2021 National Conference, and hosted webinars for the Tourette Association.
Having Tourette herself, Haley is passionate about advocating for and destigmatizing disabilities.
