Sara Hamilton joined the Tourette Association of America as the Director of Chapter and Support Group Services. Sara has spent the past 30 years working with innovative corporations and nonprofits across the country, including senior management positions in a large consulting firm, group account director at an advertising agency, VP marketing at a software company, and founder/partner of several start-ups. She has extensive experience in business development, research and strategy, branding and marketing communications, corporate and commercial video production, project and account management, team building and partnerships. She is also an award-winning film and video producer who is involved in projects across the nation, including activist efforts for the film and TV industry.
A native of Chicago, Sara earned her first degree in Broadcast Journalism and Communications from the University of Illinois, and an additional degree in Advertising and Design from the American Academy of Art. She has continued her education and training with development courses and professional programs throughout her career.
Sara has served as a Board member and volunteer for several nonprofits and educational institutions, including international service with Global Volunteers. She has been a passionate advocate of the TS community since her daughter was diagnosed with Tourette in 2008 and chosen as a TAA Youth Ambassador in 2017. As a dedicated volunteer for the TAA for the past several years, Sara has presented at National Conferences and Education Workshops, and she has served as a strategic consultant and facilitator at Research Summits and Leadership Sessions.
Sara continues to oversee film and series projects, but is now focusing her efforts on strengthening the national network of Chapters, Support Groups, and partnerships for the Tourette Association.
