Other Helpful Resources

  • Sensory Issues: Sensory issues and/or ‘tactile defensiveness’ may be seen in people living with TS. These issues can be exacerbated during the holidays when more time is spent in crowds of people, around bright lights and loud noises, and more. Visit our Processing Disorder/Sensory Issues page to find helpful tips and a recorded webinar on the subject.
  • Medication & Treatment: The holiday season often includes festive food and drink that are not typical in a daily routine. Make sure to consult your physician about what you should or should not consume. Find more information on tic treatments and therapies.
  • Reducing Holiday Anxiety & Stress: Watch our video, “How to Stop Stress and Anxiety From Spoiling Your Holidays,” on YouTube. Dr. Michael Himle discusses how to manage anxiety and stress during the holidays.
