I want to personally thank the State Chapter and Support Group leaders for all the outreach you did for the support for the CDC Tourette Syndrome (TS) Program. We had 102 Members of Congress sign onto the House letter of support and 24 Democratic Senators sign onto the Senate letter of support. During the previous fiscal year, we had 72 House supporters and 21 Senate supporters, so this is a momentous achievement that showcases the power of outreach. Especially since we lost a dozen previous House members in the election process. Both letters have record numbers for Tourette Association (TAA) and are larger amounts than the other patient group support letters. In addition, this year was very important to show strong support since our five year cooperative agreement with CDC is currently up for renewal.
Once again, thank you leaders for all that you have done and we hope you continue outreach efforts and the relationships with Congress.
