September always feels like a time for fresh starts. That’s why the Tourette Association of America (TAA) is rolling out its Fall membership campaign. If your membership has lapsed or if you’ve never joined before as a member, I invite you to make a fresh start this fall with a TAA membership! Join today!
When you join the Tourette Association as a member, you play a critical role in making a difference and you join thousands of individuals, families and professionals who are working to raise public awareness and foster social acceptance; advance scientific understanding, treatment options and care; and provide help, hope and a supportive community across the nation. In fact, we can’t do it without you!
As we look to the future, our priority is to build a stronger, more impactful organization. In the last six months alone, our team has worked to:
• Stop the Stigma and End Societal Bias through a social media awareness and tolerance campaign.
• Catalyze Research and Treatment Innovation by investing in promising and progressive research that has made a significant difference in the lives of people with TS and Tic Disorders.
• Facilitate Community and Family Support by providing support services, authoritative information and other resources for families, educators, and medical professionals.
Your membership gives you premier access to all the TAA has to offer. For example, this issue of Tourette Connect showcases our Team Tourette events, exciting news about our CDC grant renewal, and a review of one of our most well-attended webinars, which addressed Explosive Outbursts and Tourette. As you read through this month’s e-newsletter, please consider how your membership directly contributes to making life better for all people affected by Tourette and Tic Disorders.
Trekking in Teal to Raise Awareness
[Awareness]

A 13 Year Partnership.. and Counting!

The Tourette Association of America and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) are pleased to announce the continuation of their partnership into its 13th year to improve the understanding and awareness of Tourette syndrome in both lay and professional sectors of the US population.
