Celebrating Coordinated Care at UCLA
On May 5th, the Tourette Association presented Anne and Paul Devore with a commemorative plaque, thanking them for their support of the Tourette Association Center of Excellence at UCLA. Fifty guests joined in the celebration and information session about how the TAA Center of Excellence program at UCLA is changing the model of care for people with Tourette and Tic Disorders.
Several board members and key stakeholders also took part in a VIP tour, learning from neurologists, neurosurgeons, psychiatrists, psychologists and other practitioners about cutting-edge and coordinated treatment. The event also featured remarks from TAA CofE Co-Directors Dr. John Piacentini and Dr. James McCracken, Dr. Keving McNaught, EVP of Medical and Research and TAA, and Dr. Peter Whybrow – Physician-in-Chief, Stewart and Lynda Resnick Psychiatric Hospital; Director, Jane and Terry Semel Institute for Neuroscience & Human Behavior; Executive Chair, Department of Psychiatry & Biobehavioral Sciences, David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. Board Chair Rovena Schirling, TAA President and CEO, Jodi Friedman-List & Anilee List also spoke.
