‘It Takes a Village’: Coordinating a Team for Your Child’s Tourette and Associated Disorders

Hosted by the Tourette Health and Education Program, Dr. Helene Walisever will discuss children with Tourette and associated disorders, as they may benefit from the intervention of a variety of professionals. This webinar will give you an overview of the different types of services that providers can offer in the context of Tourette and the role they might play to support your child and your family.
Bio: Helene Walisever, Ph.D. is a licensed clinical psychologist and member of the Tourette Association Education Advisory Board, as well as co-chair of the NY Hudson Valley Chapter of the Tourette Association of America. She and several of her children have Tourette and other learning differences. She received her BA from Barnard College and PhD in Clinical Psychology from Long Island University. A former professor at Barnard College, she currently offers counseling, support, and education advocacy to families with special needs children. She is the author of the forthcoming book Parents’ Roadmap to Resilience: How Your Child’s Special Needs Can Make Your Family Stronger.
