This webinar geared towards medical professionals will teach you the best practices for treating patients with Tourette Syndrome and Tic Disorders. It will cover several topics, including: co-occurring conditions, CBIT, treating Tourette as a lifelong disorder, and educating your patients as a part of treatment. The webinar is made possible by funding from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention.
Presenter: Dr. David Shprecher
Dr. Shprecher serves as Movement Disorders Director for Banner Sun City Research Institute and co-director of the Phoenix Tourette Association of America Center of Excellence. He is a neurologist specialized in clinical care and research for movement disorders including tics and Tourette’s.
Before moving to Banner Health in 2015, Dr. Shprecher served at the University of Utah as Movement Disorders Division chief and co-director of their Tourette Association of America Center of Excellence program. He completed his osteopathic medical degree at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, medicine internship and neurology residency at the University of Utah, and fellowship in movement disorders and experimental therapeutics at the University of Rochester. Inspired by personal experience as an individual with Tourette syndrome, he has dedicated his career to improving treatment options and quality of life for movement disorder patients.
