During this webinar, participants will learn about the available medical and experimental treatments for adults with Tourette Syndrome & Tic Disorders. Dr. Deeb & Dr. Cohen will provide information about the available treatment options along with the evidence for each treatment.
Presenters:
Dr. Wissam Deeb is a neurologist & assistant professor at the UMass Chan Medical School. He completed his MD in Lebanon at the University of Balamand and his residency in neurology at the University of Massachusetts in 2015. He then moved to the University of Florida to pursue a movement disorders fellowship, then stayed there in faculty until June 2020. Dr. Deeb has a clinical and research interest in Parkinson’s disease and Tourette syndrome, focusing on incorporating technological advancements such as wearable devices in clinical and everyday care.
Dr. Eric Cohen is part of a multi-generational chiropractic family and has served Palm Beach County Florida for over 35 years. He completed his doctorate in chiropractic medicine at the Palmer School of Chiropractic in Iowa in 1985. Along with doing gentle chiropractic, Dr. Cohen also does CranioSacral Therapy, Functional Endocrinology, Botanical Medicine and Homeopathy. He has experience treating adults with TS, including his own wife, and other co-morbidities associated with TS, such as anxiety and Autism. In his spare time, he plays bass in some local bands.
